The perfect complement

Complement your big-game hunt with a variety of small-game species such as wallabies, rabbits, and possums. We also have some renowned fishing spots, where you can spend a relaxing day trying to reel in the big one.

Duck hunting season

The duck hunting season opens on the first Saturday in May and concludes on the last Saturday in July. Between these dates you’ll be able to enjoy the hunt for Mallard, Grey, Shoveller and Paradise ducks, Black Swans and Canadian Geese.

Plenty of variety

We provide a range of different locations for bird hunting, with hunters enjoying the variety of birds and behaviours. The limit is a mixed bag of 50 ducks and 5 Black Swans. There is no limit on the Canadian Geese.

BREAKFAST

6am – 7am

Start the day with a hearty breakfast prepared by Venator’s own chefs, using fresh local produce and complemented by freshly squeezed juices, coffee and tea.

MORNING HUNT

7am – 11am/12pm

We will head out to our hunting preserve, where our team will help guide you to your target with the spot and stalk style of hunting. Set in undulating backcountry  and covered in native vegetation, there is excellent cover and plenty of draws and gullies.

LUNCH

12pm – 1.30pm

Recharge for the afternoon with an exquisite lunch prepared by our in-house chefs.

AFTERNOON HUNT

1.30pm – 5pm/6pm

Following lunch, we’ll head back out to continue the hunt, in an environment that delivers all the excitement of hunting in raw, untamed terrain. Our approach is to always strive to exceed expectations – from the start of each day, throughout the hunting experience.

DINNER

6pm – 7.30pm Canapés
7.30-9pm Dinner
